Village Exchanges

Located in the Center for Theatre Practices in Cóbreces and involving our neighbors and the inhabitants of these villages and people from the Autonomous Community of Cantabria, we develop theatrical encounters within disadvantaged areas in the interior of the community and north of Spain, taking theater to the street and towns in what we will call the Village Exchanges and where the country people are the principal protagonists. The actions enacted don’t have a fixed structure but just come from the places where they develop;

• Meesan scenes made by local people..
• Scenic and musical workshops for the people around it.
• Cine Club de las Fuentes, that ofered proyection seasons of authors and subjects movies in the Oratory Room.
• Living Artistic Encounters with traditional music, food and dance.
• Original Performances created by the Center of Theatrical Practices.
• Encounters with distinguished artists and the presentation of their work, films, performances, exhibitions, and workshops in the both theatre halls.
• Exhibitions of painting and photography in the chapel.
• Concerts of local music.
